13 November 2013, Ukrainian Arbitration Association (UAA) jointly with International Centre for Dispute Resolution Young & International (ICDR Y&I) held a programme “Building a Career in International Arbitration” in Alfavito Hotel, Kyiv. Vladimir Khvalei from Baker & McKenzie (Moscow), a keynote speaker of the event, expressed his views on the recent trends in international arbitration and shared his own experience, including on the establishment of the International Arbitration Court of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The roundtable discussion was moderated by the President of the UAA Tatyana Slipachuk, Sayenko Kharenko (Kyiv) and included experienced panelists Dmitri Evseev, Arnold & Porter (London), Maria Kostytska, Winston & Strawn (Paris), Markian Malskyy, Arzinger (Kyiv), Inna Yelyashkevych, ICDR (New York) and Galina Zukova, White & Case (Paris).
The panelists shared their own experience in practicing international arbitration and provided students and young lawyers with valuable advices how to break into the international arbitration world and become successful international arbitration practitioner. The discussion was followed by Q&A session.
