New co-operation project between arbitrators all over the world and Global Arbitration Review - ‘Arbitrator Research Tool’ (GAR ART)

Have you ever wished you knew who’d seen an arbitrator “in action” recently – so you could get an up-to-date sense of his or her performance? Or that you could find out an arbitrator’s preferred approach to matters such as discovery or cancellation before encountering them? - Now you can.

Dear colleagues! UAA would like to draw your attention to the new project by Global Arbitration Review - ‘Arbitrator Research Tool’ (GAR ART): a new service that helps on both: it has information on who’s seen whom recently – so you can contact a person you know – direct – plus interviews with the same arbitrators about their case-management ‘style’.

One should simply type the name of an arbitrator in the search bar. If the arbitrator features anywhere on the system, it will autocomplete and present relevant pages.

The site is easy to navigate and fully searchable. It’s possible for example to search based on language spoken, arbitral rules or sex.

Here you may find a short presentation or just switch to the quick 2-minute video that shows ART in action.

ART will include more than 150 profiles by September.

ART is a collaboration between arbitrators and GAR. Arbitrators supply the biographical data, Q&A and other assets, while GAR and its sister publication Who’s Who Legal sourced the “worked with” information.

Members of the Association can be an individual with a law degree, is a specialist in international commercial arbitration or have a professional interest in international commercial arbitration and share the goals and objectives of the Association. Read more
