The moderator of the Webinar:

Markian Malskyy, a partner at Arzinger law firm, Ukraine. He is attorney-at-law, PhD, specializes in dispute resolution, in particular in international commercial and investment arbitration. Since 2008 he is with Arzinger, where he also heads the Western Ukrainian Branch in Lviv and is the co-head of international dispute resolution practice. Markian was Honorary consul of Austria in Lviv (2016-2019). He has also served as the Governor of Lviv region (2019). Before joining Arzinger Markian worked with the international arbitration group at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Paris. He was engaged in the settlement of over 300 disputes, including under the ICSID, ICC, SCC, UNCITRAL, LCIA and ICAC rules. He is the author of four books, more than 100 scientific papers and more than 300 articles and commentaries.

Our speakers:

Gisela KnutsHead of Roschier's Dispute Resolution practice in Finland and she also heads Roschier's Helsinki office. Gisela is specialized in commercial dispute resolution and boardroom advisory and has acted as lead counsel and advised clients in multi-million euro disputes in fields such as post-M&A, construction (on and off shore), engineering, projects & energy, distribution, sale of goods, insolvency, tax, financial instruments, corporate law and shareholder relations, director’s liability, ICT, and competition damages. Gisela is recognized as a leading expert in dispute resolution in Finland by international legal directories such as Chambers, The Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal, and she was recently named Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year 2020 by Benchmark Litigation.

Patrizia Sangalliadmitted to the Milan and Madrid Bar, pleading before all Italian tribunals and courts of appeal, including the Highest Court of Cassation. She actively works on Polish matters and transactions, assisting Italian and international companies in commercial and corporate matters. She has almost 20 years of experience and her practice includes advising clients in commercial contractual negotiations, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), construction, international commercial litigation and arbitration, involving English, Italian, Polish and Spanish jurisdictions. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). She is member of Arbit, vice chairman of the Italian Chapter of the Club Español del Arbitraje (CEA), and member of the Polish- Ukrainian Chapter of the CEA.

Tom Pricean UK based commercial disputes lawyer at Gowling WLG with an emphasis on cross border litigation and international arbitration. His clients range from state owned industries through to owner-managed businesses and individuals. Tom is an active member of the firm's international arbitration group. Whilst Tom deals with disputes involving clients from many jurisdictions and in many sectors, he spends much of his time acting for clients from the CIS and Central and Eastern Europe and in the energy and natural resources sectors. Tom regularly speaks to audiences around the globe on cross border issues. In addition to heading the firm's CIS and CEE desk he is also immediate past chair of the International Bar Association Litigation Committee.
