UzAW 2021

Ukrainian Arbitration Association together with the Organizing Committee of the Uzbek Arbitration Week (“UzAW”) and the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC) at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan are delighted to invite you to the inaugural UzAW 2021, which will take place in Tashkent, from the 6th -10th September 2021 in a hybrid format.


Venue for the offline events on 6, 7 and 10 September is the Palace of Youth Creativity, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. 

UzAW 2021 will reunite leading representatives of the legal, arbitration and business community from all over the world, to discuss the latest trends, the infrastructure and investment projects, privatization initiatives and other developments in the field of ADR and beyond. 


All international and state-owned organizations and large corporations operating in Uzbekistan are expected to attend the events. Panelists will discuss the topical issues in the field of, amongst others, ADR and international arbitration, such as:

  • the role of Uzbekistan as a seat for arbitral proceedings in CIS region and beyond;
  • recent changes in the investment landscape of Uzbekistan;
  • latest  trends and developments in the field of investment arbitration;
  • the use of Dispute Boards in the IFI/MDB funded projects;
  • the launch of 2021 TIAC Rules of Arbitration and of 2021 TIAC Rules of Meditation;
  • the launch of the the TIAC Diversity Toolkit and the TIAC Roster of Tribunal Secretaries;
  • the role of sports arbitration in the region in the view of the upcoming Asian Youth Games in Tashkent. 


Even if you are unable to attend the events physically, the Organising Committee is providing the platform for virtual attendance and networking.
