Ukrainian Arbitration Association is glad to inform that on 20 November 2020, Elections of the UAA President were held.
Serhii Uvarov (Partner, Co-head of Cross-Border Litigation at INTEGRITES) was elected as the UAA President. Previously, for more than 7 years, Serhii Uvarov had held the position of the UAA Secretary General.
Commenting on his plans for further development of the UAA, Serhii said: "I am very grateful to the UAA members for their support. I would also like to say thank you to the previous UAA President Olena Perepelynska, all current and previous members of the Board, who have done truly a lot for the development of the Association. I sincerely believe that UAA will continue playing a very important role in development and popularization of arbitration in Ukraine, as well as will serve as a place for knowledge sharing and cooperation between arbitration practitioner, arbitrators, arbitral institutions and state authorities.”
The Ukrainian Arbitration Association was founded in September 2012 by the initiative of the Ukrainian and foreign arbitration experts. The key goals of the Association include, first of all, the promotion of Ukraine, and Kyiv in particular, as the seat of arbitration, facilitation and support of interest in international arbitration, extension of knowledge and exchange of experience in cross-border dispute resolution, as well as enhancing cooperation and communications among practitioners in international arbitration around the world.
The President of the UAA is elected every 4 years among members of the Association.
Members of the Association can be an individual with a law degree, is a specialist in international commercial arbitration or have a professional interest in international commercial arbitration and share the goals and objectives of the Association. Read more
