The LAWASIA Moot

The LAWASIA Moot is an annual moot court competition that is organised by LAWASIA, an international organisation comprising bar associations, lawyers, judges, and academia.

International Moot Competition on Maritime Arbitration

International Moot Competition on Maritime Arbitration is a contest for law undergraduate and graduate students in English, the essence of which is to present the position of plaintiff and defendant in a dispute to be resolved in international maritime arbitration.

The International ADR Mooting Competition

The International ADR Mooting Competition comprises both mediation and arbitration in one competition. It gives one student in each moot (not involving their home university) an opportunity to act as arbitrator and mediator. Its unique structure involves mediation proceedings taking place immediately after an arbitral hearing. This format was introduced in the 2010 competition and was a great success.

Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court

The Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court is the international student competition focusing on investment protection. The competition involves a dispute arising out of international investment protection law and provisions of bilateral investment treaties.

Foreign Direct Investment Moot

The Foreign Direct Investment Moot is the international student competition focusing on investment protection. The competition spans approximately six months in two phases: written memorials for claimant and respondent, and the hearing of oral arguments. The hearings are held in different venues each year: Malibu, USA (2014), London, UK (2015), Buenos Aires, Argentina (2016), Boston, USA (2017).

Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot

The goal of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is to foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration for resolution of international business disputes through its application to a concrete problem of a client. The moot consists of submitting written memoranda prior to the moot on designated dates for both sides of the dispute. The oral arguments phase of the moot is annually held in Vienna, Austria.

Members of the Association can be an individual with a law degree, is a specialist in international commercial arbitration or have a professional interest in international commercial arbitration and share the goals and objectives of the Association. Read more
